Project description

The allocated spaces for the permanent exhibition are situated in the existing historical building of the Podtatranske Museum in Poprad.

In our proposal, we respect the textual and graphic specifications as much as possible, including the submitted scenario and the binding conditions of the client. The interior design is based on the given object composition, the mutual continuity of individual spaces and their communication corridors.

The basic concept of the permanent exhibition is based on the presentation of the fulfilment of the scenario by means of five installation methods, using their own means of expression: 1., Wall-mounted large panels 2., Spatial and built-in glass showcases with special technical equipment 3., Object on the level – 01PP. 4., Spatial exhibition boxes 5., Interactive and audiovisual support.

The overall interconnection of these installation methods was complemented by special stage lighting. The exhibition displays are mysterious and dimly lit showcases, large-scale photographs and graphic illustrations of wall panels are individually directionally illuminated. Separately, the exhibition objects on the level – 01.UF and the intimate spatial exhibition boxes are scenically illuminated.

The interactive and audiovisual content of the exhibition, is presented by large integrated LCD monitors, which are part of the wall panels. The spatial 3D audiovisual scene installed in the central part of the exhibition, is designed and projected as a full-scale scenic performance with interconnection of all thematic units included in the plot and content of the assignment. All this, rendered in a professional form and content to the overall presentation of the main idea and story of the exposition.
