Project description

The building plot is situated on the outskirts of the Svor village, in a beautiful natural surroundings, and in the immediate proximity of the forest.

The intention of the architectural study was to propose a project for the construction of a family house, based on the investor’s individual assignment.

The investor’s assignment was based on the requirement to develop a view of a family house, for the purpose of permanent accommodation of a family with two children. The house is designed as a stand-alone building with one ground floor and one floor above ground, without basement. The roof is gable-shaped.

We have tried to design the character of the building to fit in with the traditional buildings and the surrounding landscape. We have based our design on the typology of local traditional folk architecture, its simplicity and functionality. Throughout the project, we respected the investor’s current opinion on the way and needs of life of a modern family and the technical and material possibilities of current building structures and selected elements.

Our proposed architectural solution provides the investor with an increased quality of user comfort in a natural relationship between man – house – garden and the surrounding landscape. This is both on a structural-technical level and in the overall practical use.
