Project description

The historic building of the oldest hotel in Slovakia is naturally set in the city’s forest park. The initial reconstruction of the BANKOV Hotel **** in Kosice was awarded the prestigious architectural prize of Dusan Jurkovic in 1997.

The current project, technically extremely demanding built-ins and reconstruction of the complete attic, is one of the unique technical solutions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in terms of its idea and static construction. The philosophy of the investment project was to develop an architectural design for a new accommodation layout.

Particularly impressive is the location of the new elevator shaft in the mirror of the historic staircase in a modern all-glass design with the addition of artisanal metal fillings.
