Project description

The aim of the project was to develop a comprehensive redesign of the public interior spaces of the ATRIUM Optima Shopping Centre in Kosice according to the investor’s assignment.

From an architectural point of view, we are creating a sort of intimate interior urbanism in the interior environment of the SC with a new creative perspective.

The layout solutions are designed to create a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere for visitors by using basic furniture and furnishing elements in a well-balanced functional composition and appropriate lighting atmosphere. Their atypical design gives the spaces a new face and a unifying character.

The solution involves, among other things, a change in the interior design of the main part, which is intended for restaurant services. The ceiling of the central part has also undergone an obvious change. The original steel construction of the roof structure was completed with a lowered, suspended slatted AL ceiling in a surface style based on our own graphic design.

The soffit is strip-lighted with in-line light units complemented by spotlights. The strips of lights are suspended above the slatted ceiling on a separate cantilevered raster structure. The linear diffuse lighting thus aims to achieve an optical ripple effect.

Part of our solution was also the development of atypical design system information and navigation elements intended to improve and streamline the movement of visitors of the centre. These are materially realized through the latest technologies with incorporated elements of an interactive character.
