The historical building of the oldest hotel in Slovakia is naturally set in the city forest park. The first reconstruction of the BANKOV **** hotel in Kosice was awarded the prestigious architectural prize of Dusan Jurkovic in 1997.
The current project, an extremely technically demanding building and a complex reconstruction of the attic, is one of the unique technical solutions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in terms of its idea and static construction. The philosophy of the investment project was to develop an architectural design for a new accommodation layout.
The stylishly designed interiors, according to the investor’s specifications, are directly related to the historical legacy of the original historic hotel facility.
Particularly impressive is the placement of the new elevator shaft in the mirror of the historic staircase in a modern full-glass design with the addition of artisanal metal fillings.
